Short Hair, Don't Care!!

So, I cut my hair! I went from mid-back length to short, short, short! Here are some pictures that I have taken. My good friend Candace did it about a month ago. I already need a hair cut! I am absolutely loving having short hair, though. This is the first time that I have had short hair since I was about 7, & it is a much different experience.


 You have to love the editing apps on the iPhone... they make your skin look as smooth as butter! I used "moreBeaute2" for the images above & below. :)



 This is the first pic that I took of my new do! I was so excited that I took it in my kitchen.

I think for my next cut, I am going to go even shorter. That way I don't have to get it cut in a month again...

What's been going on

 So my punk dog, Diesel, got into trouble. Haha He has a bit of a problem being nosy. I recently got a 25lb bag of flour at costco, and had it in my pantry closet. The door is off of the closet, since we have been doing our floors.
Diesel decided to stick his big nose into it! He got it all over the floor, and obviously his face!! It was a pretty funny thing to see. He wouldn't stop moving for me to get a good picture. ;(

So we took out our carpets a few weeks ago. Last weekend, my parents came out to help us lay the wood laminate flooring. We did a drift wood oak style. It is amazing!! It makes our dingy little apartment seem so much more welcoming, nicer & clean. I love it. We aren't completely done- still have to do the bedrooms, bathroom & baseboards. That will come soon!

Last weekend, we wanted something hearty. And hearty this was! I made whole wheat pumpkin pancakes with peanut butter & cocoa sauce. It was delicious! Not the healthiest, but yummy.



There was a work event on Monday, & it was catered with yummy breakfast burritos. So I cheated. Ha. This was an egg, cheese, potato & sausage burrito. I also had a few cheese danishes. oops! haha


I made whole wheat quick buns with mushroom gravy. I also sauteed some kale with coconut oil & seasonings. It looks pretty gross, but it tasted amazing!


I have been eating this awesome salad at work the last few days. I did spinach with cucumber, bell pepper, tomatoes, avocado & candied walnuts. On this day, I had some coconut milk with protein powder & chia seeds. It wasn't my favorite. :( I had to choke it down. 


I made crockpot tortilla soup the other night. It had beans, tomatoes, bell peppers, corn & peas. I also added onion, cilantro, avocado, tomatoes & tortilla strips. It tasted so good, I even had it for lunch the next day!
